Leader of The Day

Assalamualaikum.Wr.Wb.

Hello my friend, today i want to tell you about a leader, it’s about my father.

My father was born in 12, September 1967 at Jember, a small town at Jawa Timur province. He is working at PT. Indonesian Satellite Corporation (known as Indosat). He has joint Indosat since 1993, so he is already 18 years in service. His office is located at Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat 21, Jakarta. It is close to Monas monument. I believe all of us know where it is.

Currently, His role is Division Head of International Roaming. The funcsion of this division is helping us be able to use our handphone any where in the world. For example, if we go to malaysia or Singapore then we can use our handphone over there.

 As the leader of  Division, he has to manage all resources to achieve their target and goal. He has two managers and 8 staff who report directly to him. He has to help all team member to finish their jobs.

All team member must able to speak english fluently because they must communicate with many partners from other countries. He also travel a lot to many countries, such as Asia, Europe, Midle East and USA.

Beside that, He was also the leader of our community for 10 years, we call it Ketua RT. There are arround 50 members (families) within the community. He has to manage and help all activities within the community, such as  security of the area, social event (like kerja bakti) and make social ID (known as KTP). There is also special event for celebrating our Independence day every year on 17 August. I like this event very much because we can have many fun activities.

He is also one of the leader in our community mosque. He encourage people to hand in hand to build our mosque by ourselves. Before having the mosque, people used the street as place for praying together. Finaly, the mosque can be built in one year in 2008.

So, I think my father is the real leader, because he always help others anywhere and anytime. I want to be the real leader by always giving and sharing with others.
